Syed F. Ahmed is the President of the Sabrina Memorial Foundation. His current profession is in financial services. In the past, he served as an Executive Director of a nonprofit charity organization called the Society for Emancipation of the Least Fortunate (SELF) in Bangladesh. Syed obtained both his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Economics from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh
Mohammad Farhad, Vice President
Mohammad Farhad is the Vice President of the Sabrina Memorial Foundation. He is a businessman and co-owner of Indo Pak Groceries. He is the founding member of the Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce USA. Mohammad is also actively involved in various philanthropic activities. He graduated from Durham University in the United Kingdom with a Master’s Degree in Accounting.
Wasim Salam, Executive Director
Wasim Salam is the Executive Director of the Sabrina Memorial Foundation. He is currently working as the Senior Program Manager Texas Instruments Inc. Wasim received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Texas A&M University. He also holds a Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Arizona State University.
Mochon Rahman, Director of Finance, Accounting & Events
Mochon Rahman is the Director of the Sabrina Memorial Foundation. He is currently working as an IT professional in the Dallas Metroplex. He is also very involved in the Islamic Association of North Texas as a volunteer. Mochon graduated from University of Oklahoma with a degree in Computer Science.
Eléonore Veillet Chowdhury, Director of Women and Children Affairs
Eléonore Veillet Chowdhury is the Director Women and Children Affairs at the Sabrina Memorial Foundation. She has extensive experience in peace building, international relations and women's rights. She is currently a Program Officer at the Global Network of Women Peacebuilders. Eléonore completed a Ph.D. at the Johns Hopkins University and she holds a professional certificate in Global Affairs from the New York University.
Dr. Musa G. Varwani, Director of Health & Nutrition
Dr. Musa G. Varwani is the Director of Health & Nutrition at the Sabrina Memorial Foundation. He is an Internal Medicine physician working as a Hospitalist in the Baylor Scott & White healthcare system. He also serves as the Associate Director Garland Inpatient Care Unit. Musa received his medical degree from the University of Nairobi in Kenya.
Osman Varwani, Kenya Program Coordinator
Osman Varwani is the Kenya Program Coordinator for the Sabrina Memorial Foundation. He currently works as a Regional Manager at Wananchi Group Ltd. He was appointed by the Kenya Ministry of Education to serve on the Board of Governors for Kenya Coast Polytechnic. Osman graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Computer Science.
Khurram Taufiq, Finance/Accounting Coordinator
Khurram Taufiq is the Finance/Accounting coordinator for the Sabrina Memorial Foundation. He currently works as an Actuarial Analyst at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas. Khurram received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Southern Methodist University. His prior leadership experience includes serving as the President of the Muslim Student Association at SMU and being the Project Manager of Waves of Unity.
Tajul Islam, Bangladesh Program Manager
Tajul Islam is the Bangladesh Program Manager for the Sabrina Memorial Foundation. He is currently coordinating and implementing SMF projects including education, vocational training, health services, village development projects and endowments. He is also overseeing all the administrative, financial, and government relations for the SMF projects in Bangladesh. Tajul has a Master’s degree in Commerce and a Law degree from Bangladesh National University.
Thabit Pulak, Water Filter Program Coordinator
Thabit Pulak is the Water Filter Program Coordinator for the Sabrina Memorial Foundation. Thabit is currently a sophomore at Duke University with the full-ride AB Duke Scholarship. After seeing the widespread problem of arsenic water poisoning in Bangladesh, Thabit researched and developed an affordable water filter, which gained top recognition at international science fairs. He was selected as one of 40 Intel Science Talent Finalists in the nation, to meet with Barack Obama. Today, he is focused on implementing the arsenic water technology, and continues research on the filters at Duke University.
Suhail Varwani, Publications Coordinator
Suhail Varwani is the Publications Coordinator for the Sabrina Memorial Foundation. He currently works as a critical care registered nurse in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. He graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas and Baylor University. Combining his passion for humanitarian aid and knowledge of technical skills, he serves as a member of the SMF marketing team.
Zain Rizvi, IT Coordinator
Zain Rizvi is the IT Coordinator of the Sabrina Memorial Foundation and has previously served as the President of the Southern Methodist University Muslim Student Association. Zain graduated from SMU with a degree in Engineering Management Information & Systems.
