Islamic Giving

Qurbani/Udiyah

Qurbani/Udiyah refers to the act of sacrificing an animal during the time of Eid al-Adha. It is a tradition that highlights the values of sacrifice, generosity, and devotion to Allah (swt). When Muslims share the meat with their community members, regardless of their social status, it eradicates social and economic disparities and promotes social cohesion.

We strive to make a meaningful impact by ensuring that the meat reaches those who truly need it. We work closely with local communities, charitable organizations, and mosques to identify families and individuals who may be struggling financially or facing food insecurity. By collaborating with these groups, we ensure that the Wurbani meat benefits those who are most deserving.

Ramdan Iftar/Fidyah

Fidyah serves as a compassionate and just solution for individuals who are unable to observe fasting during Ramadan. It incorporates the principles of empathy and solidarity with those facing difficulties while upholding the importance of religious obligations. At SMF, we serve as a means to bridge this gap by enabling individuals to maintain their spiritual connection and uphold their faith even when faced with health-related challenges.
